My brief Kathmandu,Nepal Tour!

Last year around March I visited Nepal for my sisters wedding function and being aware of the beauty of Nepal we quickly squeezed in a days itinerary for exploring the local attractions in Kathmandu.

Swayambhunath : After climbing some steep steps we reached the religious architecture atop a hill overlooking the valley of Kathmandu city and the view is just so exquisite. The beautiful stupa with white dome like structure with the eyes of Buddha at its top looks so marvelous. There are many shrines ,stupas and prayer wheels in the area which adds to the spectacular beauty of the Stupa.

Pashupatinath Temple : I remember my Parents telling me since childhood that they had visited Pashupatinath Temple before I was born and my parents had wished that someday they might be able to revisit this place with their child. So finally the moment arrived when my parents and I were visiting this sacred temple located on the banks of Bagmati River in Kathmandu,Nepal.Besides being a one of the oldest temples in Kathmandu it has a beautiful architecture and a peaceful aura.Since it was very crowded I forgot to click pictures of this beautiful temple! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Excuse me for featuring in this photo but i really love this Shot of the pigeon captured in Durbar square!. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Nepal is filled with architectural beauty and Kathmandu Durbar square is one of the places where our eyes perceive the charm and exquisiteness of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the courtyard of Kumari Bahal,Hanuman Dhoka, and various temples in the square with such intricate details and stories related to each structure makes one feel elated and compelled to take more pictures or actually forget to take pictures fascinated by the beauty and the vibe of the place(which happened to me haha)!.

Narayanhiti Palace: As an ardent admirer of palaces and stories revolving around the palace, visiting Narayanhiti Palace was on top of my to-visit lists in Kathmandu. The royal palace , which is now a museum used to be the residence of the Royal family before the tragic Nepalese Royal Massacre.I remember as child hearing about the tragic news of the Royal Massacre and my heart felt gloomy seeing the bullet marks and the location where the massacre took place.Apart from that ,wandering through the royal bedrooms, state rooms, stairs, halls, old photos of the Royal family is an exciting experience.
P.S. Photography is not allowed inside the palace.

Though the The tour was very brief yet it was so incredible. Will visit this place again soon and next time I am definitely going for atleast a week!.Best of luck to me for asking leave to my Manager ๐Ÿ˜‰
